We opened HABiTAT as a specialist paint shop in 1997. The shop was situated in Wolmarans Street in Potchefstroom and started out with only two personnel. Today HABiTAT is the proud owner of it’s own building on the corner of James Moroka and Luke Streets and have thirty personnel. Not only does HABiTAT specialize in paint, but also in hardware and from 2004 in electrical hardware as well.

The arts & craft department includes artist oil, – acrylics, canvas, super wood blanks, laser cuts, mosaic, wallpaper, pewter, gold and silver leaf and much more. In the past 20 years HABiTAT held more than 180 workshops, including paint techniques, mosaic, pewter, chalk paint & mixed media. Due to popular demand HABiTAT started a beautiful gift and décor department in 2011. This is a cozy part of the shop with that special gift, big or small for that special friend (or yourself!).

We started our business because we are passionate about our products. Our idea was to sell, high-quality products at reasonable, competitive prices. It seems that our idea was a success, because our business has grown continuously in recent years. We are grateful for the loyal support of all customers. Thank you, we do appreciate the support!
