Steps to Follow For Using the Alcolin Contact Adhesive
Preparation
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, rust, and contaminants.
Degrease metal with acetone if necessary.
Confirm working temperature is between 18°C and 35°C.
Stir the adhesive thoroughly before application.
How to Apply the Alcolin Contact Adhesive
Apply an even coat to both surfaces using a brush or serrated trowel.
Achieve approximately 80% coverage on the body and 100% on edges.
Allow adhesive to dry until touch dry (5–10 minutes).
Join surfaces within the 40-minute green time.
Apply firm, even pressure (minimum 30 psi) using a roller.
Allow full cure for 24 hours for maximum strength.
