Steps to Follow for Applying the Bostik Bath Silicone Sealant
Preparation:
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or contaminants.
- Use acetone for degreasing metals or lightly abrade plastics for better adhesion.
- Apply backing material for deep cavities and ensure any paint is fully cured.
How to Apply the Bostik Bath Silicone Sealant:
- Cut the nozzle tip to the desired bead size and attach it to the tube or cartridge.
- Apply at a slight angle in a continuous, smooth bead along the prepared joint.
- Use a rounded tool within 3-5 minutes to smooth down the sealant before it skins.
