Steps to Follow For Applying the Cement-based Tile Grout
Preparation
- Ensure grouting joints are free of dust and loose material.
- Remove all excess adhesive before starting.
- Seal unglazed tiles with a sealer to prevent staining.
- Use a minimum joint width of 2mm on walls and 3mm on floors.
How to Apply the Cement-based Tile Grout
- Mix 5kg of TILE GROUT with approximately 1.75 litres of cold clean water to form a creamy, lump-free paste.
- Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes to thicken, then remix before use.
- Apply the grout liberally to the surface and work into joints with a squeegee.
- Completely fill the joints, leaving no voids. Remove excess grout immediately.
- Allow the grout to dry for around 2 hours before cleaning with a damp (not wet) sponge.
Cleanup
- Do not allow excess moisture to remain on the grout joints.
- Buff the grout lines to a perfect finish with a dry clean cloth after 24 hours.
