Steps to follow for applying the Duram Bonding & Sealing Liquid
Preparation
- Clean surfaces thoroughly, removing dirt, grease, salts, algae, fungi, and loose paint.
- For powdery or chalky areas, wire-brush, sand, or high-pressure clean; rinse and allow to dry.
- For limewashed or distempered surfaces, scrape back to sound substrate and wash with sugar soap.
- Ensure moisture content is below 3% or allow cement-based surfaces to cure for 28 days.
How to apply the Duram Bonding & Sealing Liquid
- Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle; do not thin.
- Apply evenly with brush or roller; use short nap for smooth surfaces, long nap for rough.
- For spray application, use 17–21 thou nozzle sizes.
- Allow 4 hours drying between coats; longer in cold or wet conditions.
- Prime with Duram Cement Primer or Plaster Primer within 48 hours.
Cleanup
- When wet: Soap and water.
- When dry: Mineral turpentine.
- Dispose responsibly; recycle empty containers.
