Usage Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation:

   • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and solvents.
   • Perform the porosity test to check the surface’s readiness for sealing.

2. Porosity Test:

   • Water Drop Test: Use a dropper or small spoon to place a droplet of water on the wood surface.
   • Start Timing: Immediately start a timer.
   • Observe Absorption:
     • 20-25 Seconds: Absorption within this time indicates sufficient porosity. Apply the sealant as is.
     • 25-45 Seconds: Absorption within this range suggests lower porosity. Dilute the first coat with 50% clean water for better penetration.
     • Over 45 Seconds: If the droplet isn’t absorbed, the surface is not porous enough. Sand down to raw wood, clean the dust, and repeat the test.

3. Application:

   • Apply with a brush, sponge, sponge roller, or spray gun.
   • Avoid applying in direct sunlight or inclement weather.
   • For best results, apply two thin, even coats, allowing 20 minutes between coats and 12 hours for full curing.
4. Cleanup: Clean applicators with water immediately after use.
