Steps to Follow for Using the Bostik Mirror Silicone Sealant
Surface Preparation:
- Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease, dust, or residues
- Degrease glass and metal with solvent (e.g. acetone); lightly abrade plastics
- Rinse away any soap thoroughly from cleaning
How to Apply The Bostik Mirror Silicone Sealant
- Remove cap, pierce tube seal with cap reverse
- Apply 4mm vertical beads at 3–5cm intervals
- Press mirror firmly in place within 15 minutes of application
- Use support tape or blocks to hold position for 48 hours while curing
Application Precautions:
- Do not apply perimeter beads or large silicone blobs
- Avoid getting product on mirror face
- Large mirrors may require mechanical supports
