Steps to Prepare the Surface for Woodoc Deck Penetrating Sealer

1. General Preparation: Ensure the wood is clean, dry, and smooth. Do not wash or wipe wood with water before applying the product.
2. For New Wood: Sand until smooth, remove dust with a clean, dry cloth, and wipe with mineral turpentine.
3. For Previously Varnished Wood: Remove varnish by sanding or using a paint stripper, neutralize stripper, sand weathered wood, wash with Woodoc Wood Reviver if necessary, dry completely, sand until smooth, remove dust, and wipe with mineral turpentine.
4. For Oiled Wood: Sand until smooth, scrub with SteelWool and mineral turpentine, clean off the residue, and allow the surface to dry.
5. For Wood Previously Treated with Woodoc: Scrub with SteelWool and mineral turpentine, clean off the residue, and allow the surface to dry.

Steps to Follow For Applying Woodoc Deck Penetrating Sealer

1. Preparation: Stir the sealer very well before and during application to ensure colour consistency. Do not shake or dilute the product.
2. Application: Apply the sealer with a good-quality brush. Apply the first coat until the surface remains evenly glossy for at least 10 minutes. Apply more product to dull/dry areas. Allow the coat to dry completely.
3. Sanding: Sand lightly with SteelWool, remove dust with a clean, dry cloth, and wipe with mineral turpentine.
4. Coats: Apply two more coats in the same way. Do not sand after the third coat. Always apply a minimum of three coats for proper film build and durability.
