Steps to Follow For Applying the Woodoc Water Borne Deck Sealer

Preparation

1. General: Ensure wood is clean, dry, and smooth. Never wash or wipe wood with water or solvent before application.
2. New Wood: Sand until bare and smooth. Remove dust.
3. Previously Varnished/Sealed/Oiled/Waxed Wood: Sand until bare and smooth, starting with coarse grit sandpaper and ending with fine grit. Sand-weathered wood to remove all traces of weathering. Allow to dry completely, sand until smooth, and remove dust. The use of paint strippers is not recommended.
4. Wood Previously Treated with This Product: Sand lightly to key the surface and ensure proper binding between old and new layers. Remove dust and loose particles.

How to Apply the Woodoc Water Borne Deck Sealer

1. Stir well with a flat paddle before and during application to ensure contents are well mixed. Do not shake or dilute the product.
2. Apply with a good-quality brush. Apply the first coat until the surface remains evenly glossy for at least 10 minutes.
3. Apply more product to dull/dry areas and allow the coat to dry completely.
4. Sand lightly with very fine sandpaper, remove dust, then apply two more coats in the same way. Do not sand after the third coat.

Cleanup

• Always apply a minimum of three coats.
• Ensure proper film built on the surface.
• All aspects of the wood must be sealed, especially the end grain.
• Warning: The deck surface can be slippery if wet after sealing with this product.
